This policy explains what data Mountb collects through its apps — including Order Auto Tagger — and how that data is used, stored, and protected.
1. Who we are
Mountb ("we", "our", "us") builds software tools for Shopify merchants and other commerce teams. This policy applies to all Mountb products, including Order Auto Tagger, accessible at tagger.mountb.com.
2. Data we collect
When you install one of our Shopify apps, we collect and store only what's needed to run the app:
- Shop domain and API access token
- Order data — order ID, total, payment method, tags, status
- Product data — SKU, title, vendor, product type
- Shipping details — country, city, province
- Aggregate customer data — order count, lifetime spend (no personal identifiers stored beyond what Shopify provides for tagging logic)
3. How we use this data
- To evaluate the workflow rules you create and apply tags accordingly
- To maintain an activity log of tag actions for your reference
- To monitor and improve app reliability and performance
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.
4. Data storage and security
All data is stored on encrypted infrastructure hosted on AWS. Access is restricted to systems required to run the app — we do not manually browse merchant data outside of debugging a reported issue.
5. Data retention and deletion
We retain your data for as long as your subscription is active. When you uninstall the app, all associated shop data is permanently deleted within 48 hours, in line with Shopify's mandatory compliance webhook requirements.
6. GDPR and Shopify compliance
- Customer data requests are processed within 30 days
- Customer data is deleted on verified request
- All shop data is deleted automatically on app uninstall
7. Your rights
You can request a copy of the data we hold, ask us to delete it, or raise any privacy concern by contacting us directly.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our products evolve. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated "last updated" date.
